If you, like us at Ancaster Food Equipment, prioritize environmental sustainability, then you will be happy to know that each of our refurbished True® coolers and freezers does too. As we continually search out environmentally friendly components and processes, Ancaster Food Equipment promotes sustainability in four major ways: reducing our carbon footprint, utilizing recycled materials, RoHS compliance, the use of hydrocarbon refrigerant.
Reducing our carbon footprint:When we rebuild a True® system, we take great care to keep its original green features intact. Therefore, all units come with an energy-saving automatic defrost system and LEDs for increased energy efficiency. A refurbished True® unit by Ancaster Food Equipment makes it easy to run your business with a reduced carbon footprint by providing colder product temperatures with lower utility costs.
Utilizing recycled materials:Refurbishing existing units instead of building new ones from scratch allows us to give life to things that would otherwise be discarded. Original True® units boast the use of foamed in place, CFC free, polyurethane, high-density insulation that provides unparalleled strength and rigidity to an already industry-exceeding insulation factor, with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP). Because the cabinet insulation is one of the components we keep original to our refurbished units, we limit the amount of disposable material that ends up in landfills.
RoHS compliance:In the areas of both electrical and electronic equipment, RoHS stands for "Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances.” Our refurbished True® equipment meets RoHS compliance due to the reduced use of major hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium.
We know that making a decision to purchase a large piece of equipment not only involves financial consideration, but environmental and ethical consideration as well. Because of our process, we are lucky to have provided products to such reputable customers as:
