When opening a new business, or upgrading existing equipment customers want options. While our primary focus is refurbished refrigeration units, we carry brand new commercial refrigeration as well. We work with brands from all over the world to provide our customers with the best options.

Refurbished Commercial Coolers and Freezers

At Ancaster Food Equipment, we have spent 30 year perfecting our refurbished commercial coolers and freezers. We focus on the True® GDM series and put the units through an extensive manufacturing and testing process.

Our team of True® certified technicians have over 100 years of experience combined. Each cooler/freezer has all the interior parts and mechanisms removed. Our technician team replaces all existing parts with brand new OEM parts.

The refurbished fridges and freezers receive:

Once all the interior parts have been replaced, our commercial units then go through a testing period to ensure that proper food safe temperatures are being met and held. No cooler or freezer will leave our warehouse if it has not passed the testing period.

Our fully refurbished units also receive a full aesthetic upgrade. The refrigerators and freezers are freshly painted, and have new vinyl applied. New lighting is installed on the interior of the units to illuminate stored items. We offer an outstanding warranty on our fully refurbished True® commercial coolers and freezers. Customers are covered for seven (7) years on the compressor and two (2) years on all parts and service. All service and warranty claims are made directly through Ancaster Food Equipment.

Electrical (Voltage)

When purchasing a commercial cooler or freezer, it is imperative that customers thoroughly review the specification sheets. Our refurbished units run on 115v, and 220v, depending on the size of the unit. Our freezers tend to run off of 220v. All coolers and freezers will require their own dedicated circuit.

If your facility cannot accommodate 220v, we carry brand new freezers that run on 115v.

Visiting the Brantford Warehouse

Our warehouse is open to the public, and operates 5 days a week. Local customers are welcome to visit our warehouse located at 396 Henry Street, in Brantford. Delivery

For our customers based in Kitchener and the Tri-Cities, our team offers a full white glove service delivery. This will include our drivers bringing the unit(s) to your location, bringing it/them inside and setting the unit(s) into place. It is the customers responsibility to plug the cooler/freezer in, after it has sat for the recommended period.

If customers have stairs, or obstructions that will affect the delivery, please make this known to your sales agent prior to delivery. Locations with stairs/obstructions may require more drivers to assist in the delivery.

0% Financing

0% financing is available to our Canadian customers for 3, and 6 month terms. Once we have narrowed down the desired unit(s) customers can apply for the financing program through Econolease. Once approved, a 25% deposit is made to Ancaster Food Equipment to get the cooler/freezer or portable sink into the production queue. The remaining balance of the invoice is then paid over 12 or 22 weekly payments to Econolease. This program has no administration, or set up fees and is completely interest free!

FAQ’s

  • While we don’t guarantee an exact time that our drivers will arrive, we will give our customers a delivery window. Our drivers will call the customer directly 30-60 minutes before they arrive. If customers require a more specific time to work around their hours of operation, this can be discussed at the time of purchase, so that our team can plan accordingly.
  • Yes, absolutely! If customers would prefer to pick the cooler/freezer up from our warehouse, they are able to come Monday-Friday between 8am-3pm. We ask our customers to let us know which day they are planning to come, this way we can ensure all commercial equipment is wrapped and ready for transport.

***Please note that it is the customers responsibility to bring their own straps. We suggest that the coolers/freezers remain upright.

For our customers based in Kitchener and the Tri-Cities, we can remove and dispose of your old equipment at the time of delivery. If customers have an old True® cooler or freezer, this may be used as a trade in value. Please discuss this with your sales representative at the time of purchase, this way we can be sure we take the proper measures to facilitate the removal.
