Established in 1991, Ancaster Food Equipment is now a proud industry leader in commercial refurbishing. We stand behind the quality of the True® brand, which is why we exclusively refurbish True® commercial coolers and freezers. Starting out in a garage, and the need for affordable and reliable refrigeration, Ancaster Food Equipment was born. We now operate 6 days a week out of a 40,000 square foot warehouse. We ship from Vancouver to Saint. John’s and everywhere in between.
We are known for our fully refurbished True® commercial coolers and freezer – but we don’t stop there. We carry portable sinks, chest freezers, and brand new commercial refrigeration as well. If our customers have desired units that we do not carry, we will source out products to suit specific needs.
Stainless steel coolers and freezers come in a variety of options. From under counter units, to one, two and three door stand up units. These units have a sleek finish, and are easy to maintain cleanliness.
Single door stainless coolers and freezers are best suited in small spaces that require additional cold storage. Larger units, like 2 and 3 doors may require additional electrical requirements.

When purchasing any commercial units, a good warranty is a must!
At Ancaster Food Equipment, we stand behind the quality of our fully refurbished True® freezers and coolers, which is why we are able to offer our customers an unbeatable warranty. Our units come with a seven (7) year compressor warranty, and two (2) years 100% coverage on all parts and service.
Should anything happen to your cooler, or freezer during your warranty period, you would contact Ancaster Food Equipment directly. We have access to True® certified technicians in Vancouver and surrounding areas. These technicians bill us directly, so there is no reimbursement necessary.
For warranty on brand new equipment, customers are to contact the manufacturer directly. Ancaster Food Equipment supplies all the contact information to customers should they need additional service.
When purchasing a commercial cooler/freezer we recommend that the units be in a larger space. Having a commercial cooler/freezer in a residential setting can be louder than expected. Since commercial units have a larger compressor, the sound omitted from the units is more than most people are used to. Residential units are almost unnoticeable, where commercial units have a constant hum. Most people don’t notice this in places like a grocery, or convenience store because of music, and additional noise.
If customers choose to put a commercial unit into a residential setting, it is recommended to go with a cooler/freezer that uses R290 refrigerant.

Our sales representatives will work with you each step of the way, with prompt response times to ensure you are well taken care of.
Prior to the shipment of the unit(s), customers will receive tracking, and detailed information on what to do if the unit arrives damaged. Inspecting the unit(s) upon shipment is top priority.
Step 1 – Remove the packaging from the exterior of the unit before signing any documents from the shipping company.
Step 2 – If the unit is damaged, be sure to write damage on the BOL (bill of lading). Be sure to take photos of the damaged unit. This will allow our shipping team to better assist in making a claim.
For customers located outside of Ontario, we will happily refer them to a customer in their area. We have customers all over Vancouver and the surrounding cities who would be happy to show you their fully refurbished freezer or cooler.
Shipping to Vancouver can vary. When shipping to our customers out west, customers can expect shipping times anywhere from 5-10 business days. Once the unit(s) leave our warehouse in Brantford, Ontario customers are given detailed tracking information. This helps each customer track the unit(s) on their journey.
