Ancaster Food Equipment was born out of the need for affordable and reliable refrigeration. Over the last three decades we have built long lasting relationships with customers from all over North America, and have become an industry leader in refurbishing commercial refrigeration.
We operate six (6) days a week out of our warehouse in Brantford, Ontario. Ancaster Food Equipment is well known for our fully rebuilt True® commercial coolers and freezers but we don’t stop there. Other commercial units such as; portable hand washing sinks, chest freezers and brand new refrigeration units are also available. If customers require items that we don’t currently stock, we will seek out products to meet their needs.
While our primary focus is refurbished commercial coolers and freezers, we offer a variety of brand new equipment as well. The Ancaster Food Equipment warehouse stores True® units that are waiting to be refurbished. Since each commercial cooler and freezer undergoes a thorough process, all units are refurbished to order.
Customers that require same or next day shipping have various makes and models of brand new commercial refrigeration units.

Our portable sinks are perfect for any business in need of an additional hand washing sink. The tanks are the largest on the market, and they are assembled right here in Canada. For businesses and events on the move (ex. Food Trucks,pop up shops and The Calgary Stampede) these portable sinks offer a portable solution to increase sanitation, are ready to use and require no water hook up. The portable sinks are great for both indoor, and outdoor events.
Each portable sink comes with a one (1) year parts warranty through Ancaster Food Equipment. Should any parts be required during the warranty period, Ancaster Food Equipment will ship the part directly to the customer.

Our refurbished True® coolers and freezers come with a two (2) year warranty on all parts and service, with an additional five (5) years on the compressor. To make a warranty claim, you would call our office toll free at (1)855-888-9644 and speak with the service department. For warranty claims made by our customers out of province, Ancaster Food Equipment will contact a True® certified technician in your area, and they will come out to service the equipment. The technicians will bill Ancaster Food Equipment directly, that way our customers never have to wait for reimbursement. For any brand new equipment, warranty claims are made through the manufacturer directly. Ancaster Food Equipment will provide customers with contact information on the invoice.
**We request that Ancaster Food Equipment be notified about any issues with the freezer or cooler. If we are notified, we can help to diagnose the problem, and ensure proper measures are taken.
Since we refurbish each unit to order, our production time can vary depending on the time of year. Typically, our units leave our warehouse within 2-3 weeks. In the warmer months, production time can be longer, since that is our busy time of year. Each unit undergoes a thorough process and inspection. The units have all of the existing parts stripped, and then replaced with brand new OEM parts. The units are then repainted and revinyled. Once all of the upgrades are done, the units then run a testing period to ensure each commercial cooler, and/or freezer and holding proper food safe temperature. After this process has been completed, your unit(s) is ready to ship! Shipping to Calgary is about 3-5 days.
For customers based in Calgary, we offer tailgate service when it comes to the delivery of the unit(s). One of our third party carriers will deliver the unit(s) to your location. Since more often than not, it will be one person doing the delivery, they do not bring the unit inside of your location. The driver will get the unit to the ground, from there it is the customers responsibility to bring the unit inside
**We ask that our customers make proper arrangements to get the equipment inside of their location ahead of time. If customers require delivery at a certain time, please let your sales agent know so that they can let you know the options.
